As Canaveral's "mayor", Nash (right) welcomes VIPs, such as retired General Omar Bradley (left). In center is Brigadier General W.L. Rogers. - In an age and area of space specialists, Richard M. Nash Jr. is a rare exception. This versatile, 29-year-old native of New Orleans has to employ the technical skills of an engineer, the administrative capabilities of a city manager and the diplomacy of an ambassador. He runs America's most important space city, Cape Canaveral, Florida.
