1969 Press Photo Construction of the Monsignor Wynhoven Apartment in Marrero

Construction is under way on the $2,700,000 Monsignor Wynhoven Apartments for senior citizens at Marrero. The 201-apartment building, when completed in mid-1970, will be the tallest structure on the West Bank, 11 stories plus two additional for air-conditioning and elevator housing, and the first of its kind in Metropolitan New Orleans.
