Description
One of the largest generating units in the South is being built by Louisiana Power and Light Company at its Little Gypsy plant, 25 miles upriver from New Orleans in St. Charles Parish. The third unit (at right) will have a capability of 560,000 kilowatts and will cost about $37 million. It is scheduled for commercial operation late this year.
