Description
Floating concrete batching plants to be used by the contractors who are building a bridge across Lake Maracalbo in Venezuela, were shipped out last week from Morgan City. This is a part of a fleet of 27 barges fabricated at Bayou Boeuf by McDermott Fabricators, which will be used in the big job in South America. One man, using automatic controls, will operate this plant. Each barge is capable of turning out 40 cubic yards of mixed concrete a day.
