1964 Press Photo German consulate Hans Marmann presents books to Jerome Cushman

Hans Marmann (right), German consulate general in New Orleans, presents 24 volumes of the works of Goethe to Jerome Cushman (left), director of the New Orleans Public Library, as Josef Kleinschulte, a member of the consulate, looks on. Marmann said that the Federal Republic of Germany would donate other German books to the library in the near future. These would contain outstanding works published in 1962, he said.
