A farewell party was thrown for Kernan, who is leaving his post as District manager of U.S. Postal Service in Louisiana. He is being promoted to southwest area vice president for a four state region of Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. He is one of only 10 of these area vice-presidents in the country. This banquet was attended by rep's from Lafayette, Houma Shreveport, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge. Kernan received awards from above listed parish's.
