Description
The Landmark Hotel tower rises along Severn Avenue: "With good food, a nice atmosphere, and good service, this is going to be one hell of a competitive hotel." When Popeyes Fried Chicken magnate Al Copeland assumed sole ownership of the Landmark Hotel and Towers in September, he immediately began polishing the Metairie hotel's tarnished image. In November, the hotel maintenance department began a $1.25 million renovation of the 17-floor, 150-room circular tower, the oldest section of the 16-year-old, 350-room hotel. A 200-room atrium section was added four years ago.

Photo is dated 1988.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
