1949 Press Photo Dr. John Kieffer, Associate Professor at Tulane University

A Tulane professor whose contract is not being renewed charged today the university is firing him because he is so strongly anti-Communist. Dr. John Kieffer, visiting associate professor of political science at Tulane, said his teaching contract would end in June, 1950. He made the statement just before addressing a luncheon meeting of the Louisiana Colonial at Metairie Country Club.
