Letellier Jr., president of the Fair Grounds upon ether occasion of the Fair Grounds Race Track being designated an historical site. The bronze plaque outlines a brief history of the race course, established in 1872, and it is attached to the gatehouse entrance to the nation's third oldest racetrack.
