1972 Press Photo Progress on the Westside on the opening of Lapalco Blvd. bridge

A key to more progress on the Westside will be the opening this summer of the Lapalco Boulevard bridge over the Harvey Canal. Growth on the Westside has been evident for years but more recently, the area has begun to shoot skyward and to fill in with more apartment buildings, shopping centers and office towers.
