Description
Reproductions of antique jewelry garnered from collections of royalty and state museums are presented by New York designer Don Hobe', president of Hobe' Cie Limited. Hobe' was in New Orleans Thursday personally to display his collection in the Leon Godchaux Canal street store. He will also be in the store Friday and Saturday. Hobe' said that these reproductions are made in Southern France, and that each piece is an identical match to the original, both in color and in the design. "The secret of making these necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets look old, is that we antique each piece of gold by burning and firing it. We use only 24 karat gold in making these items," he stated.

Photo is dated 1965.

Photo measures 7.5 x 10 inches.
