1973 Press Photo West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Construction, Louisiana

Work has come to a halt on the hurricane protection levee on the West Bank to await a feasability study for the proposed Jean Lafitte National Park. The levell has been constructed to the La. Hwy. 45 in Crown Point but won't go beyond this point until the study is completed.
