The operator controls Conserver energy management system developed by Bailey Meter Company. The system is said to save users up to 15 per cent in annual fuel costs, according to the firm. According to Rudy Bosch, manager of Balley's New Orleans sales office, the system is designed for the industrial customer who needs high-pressure steam for process and for larger commercial applications which require high-temperature hot water for heating. Bailey, a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox, supplies controls, instrumentation and computer systems for electric power plants, industrial processes, and shipboard automation.
