Description
Campers with their cars crowd Grand Isle after a hurricane. Grand Isle's crowded Aisle. Grand Isle's beaches, already the victim of hurricane batterings, are in danger of being lost as a prime recreational area unless the state or Jefferson Parish acts soon to relieve the abuses by an invasion of campers. Campers by the hundreds are descending on state-owned portions of the beaches for stays from a day to weeks at a time despite the fact that there are no sanitary facilities and trash pickups are limited.

Photo is dated 1969.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
