Sterling Dunn (extreme left) retiring group manager of Sears Roebuck and Company and Bob Gervis, representing The Roger Advertising Specialty Company, are shown with three of the top winners in the HANDS (Home And Neighborhood Development Sponsors) and Civic Beautification Association awards Monday at the New Orleans Garden Center auditorium. The women from left to right are: Mrs. Samuel I. McElhoes, new CBA president, whose Village de L'Est Garden Club won the top award in beautification; Mrs. C.J. Probst, Sr. representing Pontchartrain Garden Club, which won the top anti-litter contest and Mrs. James Janin, representing the Ivy League Junior Garden Club, which won the new Junior anti-litter award. HANDS is sponsored by the Sears Community Improvement Fund. The advertising firm contributed two of the anti-litter awards.
