Lee Garrett Goetz and her husband Charles are cheerfully existing minus living room or dining room furniture, because they sold all their furniture to bring back books. "Furniture's down on the list but first we have to buy book shelves," said Lee, a lively women with a hearty laugh and a wit to match. For the past 10 years, Lee and her tall, scholarly husband have been in Afghanistan and what was Italian Somaliland, teaching English and writing school books. They've published three textbooks in each country. "Those in Afghanistan were published by the Ministry of War," grinned Lee; "it has the only printing press in the country.
