1977 Press Photo Cars exhibited at General Motors transcontinental road show

Latest in a series of experimental small vehicles designed by General Motors engineers, the XP512E features advanced refinements in lead-acid batteries developed by GM's Delco-Remy Division. The two-passenger electric car is powered by 12 maintenance-free traction batteries beneath the seat and has package storage space suitable for groceries and other parcels behind the passenger compartment. the XP512E is purely experimental and has no price tag. It is on display here today in General Motors transcontinental road show.
