...While City Workers Spread Sand Over Greased Thoroughfare. Tones of animal fat - slicker than ice - spilled onto Gentilly boulevard this morning, creating hazardous driving conditions that forced police to block off part of the highway. The greases leaked from a Alabama truck carrying 30,000 pounds of fats to a feed mill at Avondale.
