Dedication Ceremonies were held Sunday at the new McDonogh No. 24 Elementary School, 421 Burdette. The new $1,030,000 air-conditioned plant which accomodates 910 students from kindergarten through sixth grade replaced a wooden structure that had served as the school building since 1889. On hand for the program was Dr. Alton W. Cowan, superintendent of the Orleans Parish School Board; Dr. Mack J. Spears Jr., vice-president of the board, and board members Victor H. Hess Jr. and Mrs. Mildred Blomberg.
