1963 Press Photo Miss Beatrice M. Field receives Certificate of Appreciation

A Certificate of Appreciation from the City of New Orleans is presented to Miss Beatrice M. Field, director of alumni activities at Tulane University, by Mayor Victor H. Schiro, for outstanding service to the city. Miss Field was recently elected president-elect of the American Alumni Council, and organization of 1,150 institutions in the United States and Canada devoted to the encouragement of support of colleges and universities by graduated of institutions of higher learning. At left is Dr. M.E. Lapham, Tulane provost. At right is A.J. Waechter, Jr., New Orleans, president of the Tunnel Alumni Association.
