Alfred Elson Jr., newly-elected president of the National Industrial Service Association, Inc., the international trade organization of 1,500 electric motor, generator and transformer service and sales shops. Mr. Elson was elected at the 24th annual NISA Convention at Buffalo, New York. A director of the organization since 1950, Mr. Elson is president and treasurer of the New England Machine & Electric Co., Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He served as national vice-president in 1956-57 and was chairman of the association's publication-publicity committee from 1952 until last year. during this period he was instrumental in establishing the organization's national trade publication, NISA News, and the nation-wide publicity program through which greater recognition of the service shop industry is being obtained.
