Archbishop Philip M. Hannan (left), Barbara Songy of the Catholic Daughters of America and Reverend Michael S. Haddad, director of Catholic Charities, take a tour Wednesday of the Family Crises Center for abused women and their children. The home, located in the Carrollton section, is scheduled for opening sometime in January. It will provide a refuge for women and children until they can be located in safer environments. Abused women and their children will soon have a new home of refuge in New Orleans.
