When potential bobcat hunters offer him handsome sums for one or, hopefully, more of his nine cat hounds, H.B.Fairchild of Sunshine, Louisiana, simply laughs. "Why don't you train some yourself?" he asks. "Get yourself a deer." Fairchild found that the best way to keep his hounds from jumping a deer trail while cat hunting was to raise them with a deer.
