Dr. Roger O. Egeberg, nominated as the nation's Chief Health Officer, tells a news conference in Los Angeles today that if the Senate confirms him he will "focus on the patient" in trying to give new direction to health programs. Past health programs in the nation, he said, have suffered from misdirection through the use of such cliches as "compulsory" and "Socialization."
