1962 Press Photo Israel Eschevarria arrested for illegal possession of weapons

New York- Israel Eschevarria, 29, holds two guns from arsenal of weapons police said he was supplying to Brooklyn teen-age gangs. With him in police station in New York today is Alando Estrada, 38, said to be one of Eschevarria's salesmen. Police said Eschevarria had been doing a flourishing business for more than five years at prices up to $35 a gun. He was arrested at his Brooklyn home where, police said, an arsenal of 52 guns also was seized. He was booked on a charge of possession of illegal weapons.
