1955 Press Photo Billy Dupre with special earphone that let him hear music

The world of "Davy Crockett," as heard by million of other children, is brought to Billy Dupre. At special class in Tulane medical school, the teacher, Mrs. Pauline Joseph, gives Billy special earphones which multiply volume as much as 20 times. With faint bit of hearing he has he thus can listen to music, its sounds and vibrations. Billy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dupre of 2252 Madrid.
