Gentilly Garden Club - Mrs. Adrast Ducote Jr., grand-prizewinner in recent nationwide flower arrangements contest, proudly polishes trophies she's won in locally sponsored events. Winning awards for flower arranging is commonplace for Mrs. Adrast Ducote Jr. of 1400 Robert E. Lee. This fall, however, Mrs. Ducote topped all her previous victories and brought a "first" to the Gentilly Garden Club, of which she is a member. Her entry "Wooden Wonderland" received first grand prize in the National Arrangements Contest, class III-A, sponsored by the American Camellia Society. "Wooden Wonderland" won the tricolor award in the Covington Camellia Show last February. This first-place award prompted Mrs. Ducote to enter the national contest.
