1968 Press Photo Skydiver Hunley Dufour survived a parachute malfunction

An Emergency Landing was effected by 25-year-old skydiver Hunley Dufour Saturday, thanks to a spare parachute that he carries for just that purpose. When Dufour's main chute harness because loose, he sprang the other one to save his life. He landed in a wooded area near the Dwyer Canal and Chef Menteur highway. A 25-year-old Gretna skydiver had an unnerving experience 1800 feet in the air Saturday and came out of it a little wet but none the worse for wear. Hunley Dufour, of 1977 Faith pl. in Gretna, a member of the Delta Skydivers, was making a jump from a Cessna 180 Saturday from a height of approximately 2,000 feet.
