Carmine G. DeSapio, 62, who was once Tammany Hall Leader and a major power in Democratic politics, surrendered today to U.S. Marshal John Buck, left, at Lewisburg Pennsylvania Federal Prison. De Sapio, whose bid for continued freedom was denied by U. S. Supreme Court, entered Lewisburg Prison today to begin a 2 year term for bribery and conspiracy.
