1974 Press Photo Discovery towed to Boston via the St. Lawrence seaway

Discovery' a new floating amphitheater, nudged into berth on arrival from Wisconsin at Boston Saturday. The New England Aquarium's new ship is three stories, 180 by 54 feet and contains a 1,000-seat observer stadium overlooking a 250,000-gallon pool. The pool will be stocked with bottle nose dolphins and sea lions. The craft was built in Wisconsin and was towed to Boston via the St. Lawrence seaway.
