Mrs Douwe De Vries was elected president of the Crescent City branch of the American Association of University Women Monday at the home of Mrs. John A. Barrere, 843 Homestead, Metairie. Other officers elected were Mrs. Daniel Hallaron Jr., second vice-president; and Mrs. Wiley M. Pope, recording secretary. A new first vice-president, corresponding secretary aid treasurer will be elected next May.
