Description
John Minor Wisdom of New Orleans, with arms folded, listens defiantly as Clem Clark of Shreveport expresses resentment at charges Wisdom made against the rules of the Republican State Central Committee and the national Grand Old Party organization. The political feud between Wisdom, leader of the Eisenhower faction in Louisiana, and Clark, pro-Taft, hit a climax during a two-hour period of arguments preceding the beginning of hearings by the state committee here Saturday to certify seven district delegates to the national convention in Chicago in July. The session was held in the City Hall council chambers, packed by representatives of each faction.
