1969 Press Photo Presentation of "Book of Freedom" to the Mayor Victor H. Schiro

Mayor Victor H. Schiro today issued the official Proclamation, proclaiming "American Heritage Month", in his office to the Letter Carriers of the New Orleans Post Office. Branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Present for the ceremonies were (from left to right) Postmaster Paul V. Burke; Clarence W. Acox, President, New Orleans Branch; Mayor Schiro; Paul L. Ellsworth, Secretary; Alton U. Richard, Vice President. Presentation of the "Book of Freedom" to the Mayor was exchange at this important ceremony. This beautiful parchment book documents the acts of our forefathers in laying the foundation of our great country.
