Riccouti Associates Architects - The 52-bed Crippled Children's Hospital, the first convalescent hospital for crippled children to be built in New Orleans. Here a unique environment was created by the architects, Riccuiti Associates, to promote both psychological as well as physiological rehabilitation of the handicapped child. Designed for our sub-tropical climate, with low maintenance costs in mind, the building features eight 6-bed "cottages" for housing the children, plus completed adjunct medical, educational and physio-therapeutical facilities.
