1960 Press Photo Governor Floyd Collins of Florida receives a caddy from Calif.

Governor Floyd Collins of Florida, permanent chairman of the Democratic National Convention, is one of the first arrivals to receive a caddy, presented here by Jean Boorman, Santa Barbara, California, Naida Katz, San Bernadino, California. Delegates to the Democratic National Convention will receive hospitality caddys filled with wine and fruit from California's rich vineyards and orchards when they arrive in Los Angeles July 11. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Blackman, co-chairmen of the hospitality committee for the convention, announced that each of the 4,506 caddys will be professionally packaged and delivered to hotels by volunteer drivers. The coolers, made of red plastic are insulated and painted on one side is a white donkey, emblem of the Democratic Party. More than nine California products are included in the kits. Contents and containers are all complimentary to the convention host committee. Wrapped in gold cellophane, tied with a big gold bow, the containers are tagged, "Welcome - Los Angeles Host Committee wishes you a most enjoyable stay."
