Armstrong Park - About 100 trees were presented to Mayor Moon Landrieu Tuesday for the city's planned Louis Armstrong Park by Dr. John C. Barber (center), director of the Southern Forest Experiment Station. Looking on is Miss Mildred Fossier, City Parkway and Park Commissioner superintendent. The presentation was made in front of Perseverance Hall, at St. Claude Avenue and Dumaine Street, to be part of the park. The trees, as seeds, were among items carried aboard the Apollo XIV mission in 1971.

Photo is dated 1974.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
