1940 Press Photo Eighty Eight Set of Twins Attend 2nd Annual Convention of Twins

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
If people in Waco were seeing double, or maybe even triple, it wasn't because of the strong spring sunshine--or moonshine, but because of the 2nd Annual Convention of Twins, attended by 88 sets of twins in the city. Two and 3 of a kind, of both sexes and a variety of ages, attended the convention, along with scientists who sought to gather data on the multiple offspring. Here are some of the twins massed in front of the Convention Hall.

Photo is dated 1940.

Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches.
