1943 Press Photo Jean Haines Walk Down 63 Stories Only to Find Elevators Working

Jean Haines feels like saying much more than "ouch" after walking down 63 stories in Rockefeller Center only to find that elevators and running again after a 55 minute unauthorized strike. Jean took up 30 of those minutes in her downward trek, and is now wondering whether to hail a cab or walk home barefoot.
