Description
Seven weeks after their disappearance, the bodies of George Simkov, 18, 18, and his brother, Andre, 12, were found by workmen in a sand quarry at Guyancourt, near Versailles. They were trapped as they were digging tunnels. Police searched the place but failed to find the boys. Their bicycles were nearby. Their Father, Dr. A.E. Simkov, a white Russian physician, continued the search after the police had abandoned it. A reward of 50,000 had been offered for the safe return of the 2 boys. It was first believed that they had been kidnapped.
