The interior of the Chicago Stadium s Colonel Frank Knox was formally notified of his nomination as the Republican candidate for vice president of the United States. The 25,000 seats in the giant hall were filled, and the overflow crowd that heard the addresses by loud speakers was estimated at 10,000
