1931 Press Photo Emily Vignola and First Baby Born in Columbus Hospital New York

Emily Vignola, of Pelham Parkway, New York, gives birth to the first baby born in the new Columbus Hospital, at 227 East 19th Street, New York City. It's an eleven and a half pound bouncing baby boy, and will be named Columbus in honor of the hospital. Shown is the mother and child with Nurse Elsie McMahon.
