Wreckage of the famous Rheims Cathedral and village from German shelling in World War I. American financing aided in its rebuilding but it is again threatened by the German drive in France as the Nazis claimed that their forces had gone far enough to reach Rheims in the direction of Paris. Rheims is only 60 miles from Paris.
