Pasadena, California - Lieutenant Donald L. Putt, (left), William H. Bowen, (center), and Dr. E.E. Sechler of the California Institute of Technology examining a large portion of an airplane wing in the Caltech wind tunnel. The eight-foot section of wing is the largest ever to be tested in the university's tunnel. This is a phase of exhaustive research in the field of aeronautical engineering being conducted at the Institute.
