1928 Press Photo Gas Explosion at Ruth Green Home in Ponca City Oklahoma

Florine Green, 3, daughter of Ruth Green, died in the tragedy. The other nine persons in the home escaped serious injury. The gas is believed to have accumulated in the basement from a leak or a jet which had been left open unintentionally.
