Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Police are shown calling Robert Spader to throw out his gun and surrender after he had allegedly held up the nearby Greyhound Bus Terminal. The scene is the Quaker City Bus Terminal into which Spader fled by mistake. He intended to enter one door of the terminal and leave by another, but was trapped when he mistook a lavatory entrance for an exit to the street. He was quickly surrounded, but kept shooting to hold his pursuers at bay. He gave up when police threatened to use tear gas. Left to right, waiting for Spader to come out, are Captain of Detectives James Ryan, Officer Charles Mitnic, who chased the bandit from the Greyhound Terminal, Officer Sam Lazarus and an onlooker. Spader was said to have fired at Lazarus in the crowded streets.
