Washington: At a joint news conference 4/21, House Republican leader Gerald R. Ford (left) stood by his charge of Vietnam mismanagement against the Administration. Senate GOP leader Everett M. Dirksen (right), who earlier had questioned Ford's charge, moved somewhat closer to the latter's position. Ford said he did not think this was any time to call for Defense Secretary Robert S. McNamara's resignation.
