Russian Aces Arrive In Rescue Plane - New York City - Major Mikhail Gordienko (left), navigator, and Brigadier General Vladimir Kokkinaki, pilot of the Soviet plane which cracked up on Miscou Island, New Brunswick, on the attempted 4,600-mile non-stop flight from Moscow to New York City, hold a bouquet presented them by welcomes as they arrived at Floyd Bennett Field here, in a rescue plane piloted by Russell Thaw. Neither appeared worse for the experience on the ice-bound island where they were forced to land.
