Gov. Thomas E. Dewey and Mrs. Dewey seated before microphones in the Republican Headquarters in the Roosevelt Hotel early this morning as the Governor conceded the re-election of President Roosevelt in one of the Unites States. Dewey seemed in good spirits as he told the Radio audience and Newsmen gathered at the GOP Headquarters " It's clear that Mr.Roosevelt has been elected and every good American agrees with me in the spirit of my greeting him. I extend my hearty congratulations and my wishes for a speedy victory and lasting peace. Standing behind the Dewey's (above) is Herbert Brownell Jr. Chairman of the Republican National Committee.
