A mental patient was arrested early 3-28 and confessed strangling a six year old girl whose nude body was found in a vacant lot, police said. The child, Carol McAllister (shown in recent picture photo), disappeared 3-27 while roller skating near her home in he suburban Long Island community of Hollis. Mrs. Ethel McAllister, Carol's mother, reported her daughter missing and began a house to house search. Several house later the girl's clothing was found nearby a garage of John Greeriger, 35 an out-patient at Pilgrim State Hospital . A further search disclosed the girl's skates in Greeriger's house.
