In New York City, Miss Alice Marble, outstanding American tennis star who recently raised enough money to buy an ambulance for Britain with her "The Will to Win" sprech at New York's Junior League, peers out of the driver's cab of the ambulance bought through her efforts. Miss Marble has accepted the chairmanship of the Tennis Division of the British-American Ambulance Corps sports committee. She will lead the drive to purchase airplane ambulances badly needed in Britain to save the lives of RAF flyers shot down at sea. Photo measures 8 x 6.25 inches. Photo is dated 12-18-1940.
